The Area Wallis is a hiking paradise with some 1.000 km of well-marked trails, either short or long distances, for starting as well as for trained hikers. The chalets are situated in Fiesch, Wallis/Valais and lie on a sunny mountainside with a beautiful view over the village of Fiesch and its surroundings. Fiesch is an ideal holiday resort for all seasons and has a lot to offer to its guests. In summer and wintertime cableways bring you to the Fiescheralp (2.200 m) and the Eggishorn (3.000 m) with its panoramic view of the famous Aletsch gletscher, now a UNESCO world natural heritage site. There are (winter) wander or hiking trails all over the area and many other (winter) sports possibilities. With (the car-free) villages of Bettmeralp and Riederalp, Fiescheralp forms a beautiful ski and wandering area, where 33 lifts will bring you up to 2.900 m and snow is guaranteed in winter. Fieschertal and Gomsertal have over 100 km of langlauf tracks. We have an official 'Kletterschule' that teaches mountain climbing and organizes many trips and we have a terrific Ski school. Furthermore you can go mountain biking, do glacier tours and it is a hang-gliding and paragliding heaven. Besides a gliding ground, golf link, swimming pools, tennis courts, squash, miniature golf, (indoor and outdoor) climbing wall, sauna etc. you will find hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and so on in the Fiescher area. |
